Story Harvest is built by Senior Care Partners, a division of KTL Consulting LLC ("we," "us," or "our").

1. What Story Harvest Does

Say it with Story Harvest. Story Harvest helps you write a personal letter with your gift. Through a guided conversation, you share a memory or a story. Our app helps turn your words into a personal letter you can download, print, or share with your gift.

You may also use Story Harvest through partner businesses. When you do, the partner's own terms apply to your purchase. Our terms apply to the Story Harvest experience itself.

2. Who Can Use Story Harvest

You must be at least 13 years old to use Story Harvest. If you are between 13 and 17, you need permission from a parent or guardian.

By using Story Harvest, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Story Harvest.

3. Your Account

Your first letter does not require an account or payment. To purchase additional letters, save your work, or access your letters across devices, you need to create an account.

When you create an account:

If you think someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us immediately at support@storyharvest.app.

4. Purchases and Payment

Your first letter is free. No payment and no account required.

After your first letter:

All purchases are made through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.

Refunds are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit Apple's support page or go to Settings > Apple ID > Purchase History on your device.

Restore purchases if you switch devices or reinstall the app by going to More > Restore Purchases.

Prices may change. We will notify you within the app before any price increase takes effect. Price changes do not affect letters you have already purchased.

5. Your Content

You own everything you create with Story Harvest. Your stories, your conversations, your letters, your photos — they are all yours.

You give us permission to use your content only as needed to provide the service — for example, to process your voice, generate your letter, store your work, and deliver your shared letters. We do not use your content for any other purpose.

You are responsible for what you share. Do not share content that contains someone else's private information without their permission. Do not share content you do not have the right to share.

6. How AI Works With Your Content

Story Harvest uses AI to power conversations and generate letters. Before your first conversation, we ask for your explicit consent to process your voice and text through our AI services. This consent is separate from your acceptance of these terms.

Voice conversations: Your voice is processed in real time for conversation and transcription.

Letter generation: Your conversation transcript is processed to generate a letter draft.

You choose how much AI shapes your letter:

AI is a tool, not an author. You provide the stories and memories. The AI helps organize and polish your words. The result is yours.

AI is not perfect. Letters may contain errors or awkward phrasing. Always review your letter before sharing or printing. We are not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content.

Our AI services do not store your data or use it to train their models.

7. Sharing Letters

You can share your letters with anyone by email. When you share:

8. Rules and Safety

Content safety: Story Harvest checks conversation text for signs of crisis or harmful content. If we detect references to suicide, self-harm, or severe distress, the app shows mental health resources including the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. We log a brief record of safety incidents for ongoing monitoring.

Enforcement: Repeated violations of these rules may result in warnings, content removal, or suspension of your account.

9. What We Are Not Responsible For

The service is provided "as is." We work hard to keep Story Harvest running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee that the service will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted.

We do not guarantee:

Limits on our responsibility: If something goes wrong, our total responsibility to you will not exceed what you paid us in the 12 months before the issue arose. If you used Story Harvest for free, our responsibility is zero. We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Your responsibility: You are responsible for what you create and share with Story Harvest. You will indemnify and hold harmless Senior Care Partners, a division of KTL Consulting LLC, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, and expenses, including attorneys' fees, arising from your use of Story Harvest or your violation of these terms.

10. Disagreements

We hope you never have a problem with Story Harvest. If you do:

Step 1: Contact us. Email support@storyharvest.app. We will try to resolve it within 30 days.

Step 2: If we cannot resolve it informally, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under California law, not in court and not with a jury. Arbitration will be conducted by a neutral arbitrator under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Opt out of arbitration: You can opt out by emailing support@storyharvest.app within 30 days of creating your account. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the courts of Sacramento County, California.

Small claims court: Either of us can bring claims in small claims court instead of arbitration, if the claim qualifies.

No class actions: You agree to resolve disputes individually. You cannot bring or participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative action against us.

Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

11. Ending Your Account

You can leave at any time. Delete your account from the Privacy & Security section in the app. All your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

We can end your access if you violate these terms, engage in prohibited conduct, or if we need to for legal reasons. We will try to give you notice before doing so, unless the violation is severe.

What happens to your content: When your account is deleted, all your data — letters, conversations, audio, photos — is permanently removed. Download anything you want to keep before deleting your account.

Letters you already purchased are yours. We recommend downloading them before deleting your account, as we cannot recover deleted data.

12. Apple-Specific Terms

This section applies when you download Story Harvest from the Apple App Store.

13. Changes to These Terms

If we make changes to these terms, we will update the date and notify you within the app. For significant changes, we will give you notice within the app before the changes take effect. By continuing to use Story Harvest after a change, you accept the updated terms.
