Think of Story Harvest as having a friendly conversation with someone who really wants to know your stories. You’ll meet it at a Story Harvest in-person event, where we set you up and help you get started.
Here’s how it works: It asks you questions about a topic of your choice. You can answer by speaking into your device.
As you talk, Story Harvest does two things really well:
Like a good interviewer — or an old friend who won’t settle for the short version — it listens to your answers and asks for more details. Question by question, it helps you shape what you remember, what you felt, and what you learned into one coherent story for your letter.
Like a skilled editor, it takes everything you said and arranges it into a well-written letter that sounds like you. Every letter is yours to refine. Type a change directly. Switch between three styles — My Words, With An Editor, or Tell My Story — from your exact words to finished prose. Or tap Resume and keep talking; the letter picks up your additions. Nothing is rewritten unless you ask.
The Story Harvest app isn’t in the App Store. It’s available only to guests at our in-person events, because the best stories start in a room with other people. Sign up for event updates on our homepage.
